Materials & Certifications
Transforming disposable food packaging into an industry beyond oil.
Everything we make, we can unmake.
Because we're committed to the circular economy. This means products and materials keep circulating in supply chains, for as long as possible. It helps tackle the global challenges we're facing - climate change, waste and pollution, by keeping things out of landfill and reducing energy outputs.
Oil based plastic products are the opposite. Sourcing oil is dangerous - oil spills, super toxic refineries, and a long history of unethical business practice afflicts the fossil fuel industry. Globally, packaging needs to be better, and our contribution is making decent packaging.

Materials
We use a range of sustainable materials to create our compostable and recyclable packaging.
Aqueous Lined
Our aqueous lining uses a water-based dispersion system of polymers and additives to create a barrier, making it a home compostable solution.
Bagasse
Bagasse is the fibrous matter that remains after sugarcane stalks are crushed to extract their juice.
Paper
Paper is fantastic, but not all trees are grown equal. We use responsibly sourced or recycled paper, this paper can then be recycled again and again or composted too.
CPLA
The crystallised form of PLA - its heat tolerant cousin but is opaque instead of clear, and a bit more hardy.
Birchwood
Our wooden range uses wood sourced from responsibly managed forests.
Non Toxic Inks, Dyes & Glues
All of our inks are soy based and the adhesives we use are made from plants too. We whiten paper products without bleach, using non-toxic oxidation.
Reusable Huskee Materials
The beauty of Huskee products? They can be used again and again (and again), helping reduce the demand on raw materials and production.
Waste Coffee Husk
Found in our classic HuskeeCup range, the husk is a byproduct from processing coffee cherries. Our HuskeeCup range is dishwasher safe and BPA free.
Tritan Renew 50
A high-performance material that’s 50% post-consumer recycled plastic (that’s certified!). This is what our HuskeeRenew cups are made from. A range that’s dishwasher safe and stain resistant.
Steel
Our HuskeeSteel range? That uses 91% post-consumer recycled steel, is dual-wall vacuum insulated and BPA free. Ideal for keeping your hot drinks hot (or cold) when you’re on the go.
